Robin Atkins

When I first got the idea for the 2007 Bead Journal Project, I anticipated that about 20-30 beaders would be interested enough to make a commitment to create 12 pieces in a year. I was blown away as the registration grew daily until it reached 243 in just three weeks! From seeing the results of the Quilt Journal Project, I anticipated that the BJP members would do fabulous work. Once again, my expectations fell quite short of the real thing.  Each of us has developed our technical, design and communication skills to much higher level than I thought possible. What I didn’t anticipate at all (and what became one of the greatest benefits for me personally) is the wonderful sense of community and support that developed and continues to develop between the participating members. It is pure joy to be a part of this group!
