I am a self taught beader who began 'playing' with beads and bead embroidery
back in the mid 90s.  I discovered the internet in 2001 and the inspiration that I found
there caused me to cover so many different types of things with beads,
from sticks and rocks to bras and dolls.

This adventure with the Beaded Journal Project has really challenged me to think outside the box.  My aim was to experiment with beaded 3D images and just to make it even more challenging, I restricted myself to a theme of Under the Sea. I usually totally encrusted my beaded pieces with beads, so this year has helped me to allow the fabric to show through. 
I am pleased with my 'pages' and what I have learnt in the process and I look forward to the opportunity to take part in another year of challenging myself with my beloved beads
